My Stance on DarkshippingWhen I mean ‘darkship’ I am specifying the glorification of ships/media including pedophilia, incest, zoophilia, necrophilia, and rape.In my youth I was exposed to said content by adults who groomed me into producing it for them. Whether you believe it was the fault of the works themselves or the people, it still soured my opinion on darkshipping. Despite my dislike for that specific type of content, I identify as anti-censorship.The stories I create may contain topics such as pedophilia, incest, abuse, or other dark subjects. I will never portray these topics as normal or something to strive for, only show them for what they are. Demonstrate the harm these actions cause in a more digestible format.However with the visa/mastercard situation, it really shows how censorship can ruin livelihoods. Censorship of certain media leads to all media being censored. This situation already demonstrated that. As an adult into kink and general nsfw, I do not want my right to make said things taken away.So I would rather side with people who fight for our rights to produce nsfw than those trying to hinder it. No matter my opinion on darkshipping, it has to exist or all media will be affected. That does not mean I actively want to converse with those who make it, or make it myself. I will never outright censor it.TL;DR If you make darkship content, I will not censor or attack you for it. I am anti-censorship. Respect the fact I do not want to see it, nor will I ever create it.
